FAQ - Creating "Skins"

I have AOL and my PULPchat skin looks like crap. What should I do?

Ummm...use a different browser? Actually, there are 2 things you can do. You can turn off "image compression" which is AOL's way of making all web graphics look horrible, or if your skin is a GIF, save it in PNG format instead. The AOL browser doesn't know how to mess up the PNG format. Thanks to Kevin for the PNG suggestion.

2005 Update
AOL has made quite a few improvements since this FAQ was originally written, and this doesn't seem to be much of an issue any more. However, we still recommend using a standards compliant browser like Firefox.
